Preview: Napoli vs Inter Milan – Prediction, Team News, Line-ups

The Serie A will continue this weekend as Napoli welcome Inter Milan to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in a blockbuster fixture. 

Inter are currently sitting at the top of the league standings, but their opponents on Saturday are just a point behind in second. 

Match Preview 

Napoli have been enduring a poor run of form in recent weeks. They are winless in their previous four league matches and suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to Como at the weekend. 

Antonio Conte’ side made a horrible start to the away encounter as Amir Rrahmani inadvertently put the ball into his own net in the 7th minute. 

Giacomo Raspadori soon levelled the scores for the visitors, but Como had the last laugh after Assane Diao netted a 77th minute winner. 

It was a demoralising defeat for the Blues, but they don’t have time to dwell on that and must direct all their attention on the next home clash with Inter. 

The Nerazzurri returned to winning ways at the expense of Genoa last weekend following a 1-0 loss to Juventus.  

It was a tight contest at the San Siro, where the hosts struggled to break the deadlock for the majority of the game. 

However, Lautaro Martinez popped up with the decisive goal in the 78th minute to ensure all three points for Inter. 

Simone Inzaghi’s side followed that up with another win against Lazio in midweek’s Coppa Italia quarter-final. 

Team News

Napoli ace Frank Anguissa picked up an injury against Como and so he will be missing the away Serie A clash. David Neres and Pasquale Mazzocchi are also sidelined with fitness issues. 

Meanwhile, Inter will not have the services of Matteo Darmian, Carlos Augusto, Nicola Zalewski and Yann Sommer as they are all confined to the infirmary.
