Three Serie A players stars expected to leave in 2024

Only a few days are remaining in the January transfer window, with clubs working hard to land their targets ahead of the deadline. 

The Serie A transfer news suggests some big names could depart the Italian top-flight this month. 

However, all the big deals are expected in the summer with clubs reluctant to lose their players in the middle of the campaign. 

Below we will look at some of the players who could end up leaving the Serie A in 2024. 

Victor Osimhen 

Victor Osimhen is regarded as one of the best strikers in the world. 

The 25-year-old’s excellent goalscoring feats led Napoli to the Serie A title in 2022-23, while he has also been impressive this campaign. 

Osimhen penned a new deal in December but he is still very likely to move in the summer amid huge interest from the Premier League. 

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal have all been linked, but it will likely be up to the Nigerian where he wants to go next. 

Ederson 

Ederson is another top Serie A player who has been on the radar of several clubs in England. 

The 24-year-old joined Atalanta in 2022 and has been a key member of their first-team. 

This season, he has already scored five goals in 21 top-flight appearances, helping Gian Piero Gasperini’s side to fourth in the standings. 

However, La Dea could be tempted to sell him for a huge transfer fee in the summer transfer window. 

Newcastle United have reportedly enquired about the defensive midfielder, while Tottenham Hotspur have also entered the race for him, per Fabrizio Romano.   

Rafael Leao 

Rafael Leao is considered as one of the best wingers in the world. 

He has been a consistent performer for AC Milan over the years, scoring 49 goals in 189 total appearances. 

Milan have extended his contract until 2028 and have reportedly included a €175 million buy-out clause in the deal. 

However, a lucrative offer from a big European club could change their mind in the summer.
